i just called miss coasting. she was in the middle of a ride in some rural parts to create a cycle route for tourists.

Today I went on a short midnight stroll with Benson in the cold clear air. Neither one of us sustained an injury or uttered epithets of any sort.

Went out to Home Depot for next load of bathroom supplies. May be painted by tomorrow. Then it is floor tile time.

So depressed about the money spent on tile, paint, and related goop that I went for a ride. Only -4C so decent weather. 1500 lumens of helmet light mean I can ride whenever.

Probably me. Benson can't reach the pedals.

Today I did 16.9 mi. through a fairly populated area and only managed to trigger one Strava segment. Stoked that I'm still KOM on said segment. (Beat out two other bike riders that didn't know they were racing. YES!!!)

Started out at about -4° C, ended up at about 4° C, so there was some mud. Two days in and I'm already a little behind pace for my 140 mile per week New Year's Resolution.

Those new heavy Gander Mtn. long johns were the key today for sub 25ºF riding. Should have bought those 9 years ago.

A few years ago there was a woman with whom I thought something might go down at some point UNTIL she called be "buddy" on the phone once. I didn't even hear anything she said for the rest of the call, gears were turning in my head - "Buddy? That doesn't sound good. Hmmmm. Buddy. How the hell we gonna turn this around?"

I slept 10hrs last night. Best damn feeling I've had in a month. Finally starting to feel normal again. Down to the basement I go to ride for a few hours.

I think I'll stay here for a while. More opportunities for business and jobs. I can see the job situation turning positive real fast and I'm kind of trying to get a business going before I get a job. There's only so long I can make excuses whilst people know I'm available. It's good to be unique here.

Nice. Depending on how my life turns out the next few months, I may take a trip to Asia in the next year. Taiwan was on my list.
