Jonsey - I thought of you yesterday when I had a chocolate shake at a Culver's in WI yesterday. It was about -3.

WhyFi 01-02-13 07:17 PM

I have laid the ground work with the MoF. She sees how a cx would add some needed versatility. Need to look at the geo of the Civilian when we get back to MN to see if it can work.

I'm more interested to see what happens with this lawsuit the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is filing against the NCAA. Hopefully, they're going to bust the antitrust can of worms wide open.

I agree.

Wut********** I think you need to look at either a decent mtb or acquiring some handling skills by riding some dirt roads. Or even better out playing in the snow like the rest of us. Going from a 23c tire to a 40c is not going to do as much as you think. :)

I did also when I had a waffle cone frosty in 27°. Wendys in PHX did not have these for some crazy reason...

That is a cool looking bike.

See, Lester rides a mtb and enjoys life to the fullest extent fast food fuel offers.

rjones28 01-02-13 07:32 PM

We're currently out of ice cream, BTW. It's rough, but Mrs. rjones28 just made a batch of chocolate chip cookies. So, we'll have to make do with cookies and milk.

+1

MTB riding improves bike handling an immense amount. Plus getting dirty is fun...

The simulated graphic of the new team bike looks pretty hot herbie. The team sticker may not look as good as it does on the Cannondale though.

I don't think we are doing team decals on these. It is a "custom" color, but is fairly logo covered. The color looks translucent blue pearlish in person (they got one in early at the shop).

Wow. Sugar bowl is a game ! I expected a UF blowout

Why is Velo Vol back? This place isn't big enough for Velo Vol and Coasting.

Using the shift key sucks.

Sounds cool. Is it the Flite?

Yeah. It will be getting the parts off the C9. It likely puts me in the difficult position of having a race bike/frame that is as good or better than my Saturday ride bike.

I need some financial recovery and hand wringing time, but something will need to be done.

Hey Vol,

What have you been doing in your absence? Boycotting the 41 censorship and cursing the mods can only last so long. Twitter?

Yes, I am on Twitter. It's how I find out what's happening, right now, with organizations and people who I am interested in.

https://twitter.com/barner

Otherwise, I am engaged in winter activities.

What do you mean by winter activities? You have no dog, nor dog socks/snow shoes, nor human snow shoes, nor snow.

LesterOfPuppets 01-02-13 09:44 PM

"Citizen Tweeter" ????

Have you enjoyed any ice cream or milkshakes in freezing temps in the last 60 days?

Correct. In this case it means I spend the holiday week watching an inordinate number of movies.

Among other things I learned that an outdated '90s TV doesn't cut it for watching Lawrence of Arabia. I also yearned to sun myself in the desert. I can't take these cold gray winter days anymore.

I actually know someone who jumped from the Oregon Coast into the Pacific Ocean on New Year's day. It wasn't Rooskie cold but it was cold enough I'm sure.
