Well someone else can contribute. I gave you guys three solid months of drama filled nonsense. I'm keeping it to myself now.

We are grateful for Solo's contribution, which was above and beyond, but alas I think most of us lead such humdrum lives that I fear we will never find a worthy replacement.

I can't help either. Life with wife #4 has been drama-free. And now that my son is over 18, I don't have to deal with wife #1 at all.

Sooo... back to potatoes?

Maybe I will pick the collective minds of the addicts. Miss Coasting went to a tourist spot today and rode around the area to identify a good riding route for tourists. She spent 5 hours exploring the area. My opinion is that cycle tourists would rather do a ride from A to B with scenery that is interesting to see or a ride that is challenging (like a climb). The exploration of point B cannot be the whole route but just the final stage added onto an A to B ride or maybe exploration of the area can be a warm up prior to the main event of climbing a mountain.

Am I right?

did you have a party?
mr. ts wanted to have a party.

of course it's in bad taste because it can be misconstrued as not caring about the kid, but it's more about being released from the previous relationship.

there was a lot of drama there.

I guess it depends on the "tourist". Are we talking about "regular" tourists? Or cyclists on vacation?

There was a WHOLE lot of drama there. Stuff that makes SA's drama look boring. I didn't throw a party when my son turned 18... but I sure had one heck of a bachelor party way back when my first divorce was final. :thumb:

I think cyclists on vacation. The area in question is not exciting enough to go to for itself but a nice add-on to the area with the mountain. The mountain is popular for hiking and mud spas.

Good news everyone. Liz Hatch is boarding a plane, and heading to Calpe. Well, she has a few stops a long the way, so actually several planes. She is returning to pro cycling however after her year off last year. I'm a fan. I was glad to see her announce this yesterday.

It's too bad that ugly thing is blocking the view of those legs and Louboutins.

eh, it depends.

are the other tours usually done by bus or walking, and the bicycle is meant to be merely a mode of transportation and the focus is on sightseeing? or is it really a cycling tour where the expectation is that the focus will be on the cycling?

I think an A to B ride or a loop with stops (not too close together) at points of interest.

Exactly what I meant... only better stated by TS.

I took the wrong kind of "bicycle tour" while on vacation once. I believe the average pace was about 4mph. UGH!!!!

I'm certainly glad I figured out my situation before kids or marriage. Did I ever mention how nice it was to sleep last night. I could get used to that stuff again, that's for sure.

Other tours would just go straight to the mountain. Bicycling in this area is quite pleasant but I think real cyclist would want to ride the mountain. The area in question is being considered as a cycling tour but I think it can only be an add-on.

Pretty much all of them.

However, if you play for the other team, I think someone carrying on and on about "heavy Gander Mtn. long johns" means you've got a pretty good shot.

Just throw her name in a google search. I picked that pic to keep it somewhat classy. There are plenty of images of her around on the net.

That's awesome.

Since we've been drama-free lately, I'll give you a hint at the drama that I went through... this is how our relationship started. About 4 months into dating (we were both 19 at the time) we weren't careful enough with "protection" and she got knocked up. Her family were a VERY conservative Asians... and being that I valued my life, I did the honorable thing and asked for her hand in marriage. (We didn't tell anyone about the pregnancy.) They reluctantly agreed, we threw an engagement party and began planning... and then she terminated the pregnancy. I should have run... but I stayed because I felt it was my duty to keep my commitment. D'OH!
