tell me about it. i think i'm getting a rash on my forehead now.

Hey coasting,

Is there a prepper movement in East Asia and/or U.K.? Or is it mostly an American phenomenon?

coasting 01-13-13 11:13 AM

what the hell is that?

Rowan 01-13-13 11:15 AM

Obviously not.

coasting 01-13-13 11:15 AM

oh i see. I think its an american thing. paranoia seems to surface periodically especially during bad economic times. remember the 70's and all the great disaster movies? towering inferno, poseidon adventure?

Rowan 01-13-13 11:16 AM

Not all countries in the world are paranoid.

There are a few in Australia, though.

People like the guy in the article I linked above, who stock up stores of food, guns, and what not, preparing for the coming doomsday.

coasting 01-13-13 11:18 AM

curious. i see no link.

I often wonder what good the kittens will be. To ward off the zombies after the apocalypse? I mean, no-one above ground will be alive. Does it mean that the people who have bunkers will be fighting each other, killing off whatever other life remains?

<looks to the heavens> I just don't understand...

Nope, they don't make them like they used to.

Exactly.

Living is overrated.

Read some good post-apocalyptic fiction. I was in that genre mood for a while. There's some good books out there.

Anyone have their garmin speed/cadence sensor go bad? Put two different new batteries in it, checked the magnets on the wheel and crank for alignment, but my 500 won't pick it up. It gets my HR tho, so it must be the sensor?
