Tire pressure is most certainly dependent upon rider weight. For most of the riding I do, I feel best at about 95psi right now. Now, if I am racing on a flat course, with smooth pavement, and no real sharp turns I might go a little higher.

As for black spokes. Those spokes are made of PBO fibers, and the white is a plastic outer coating that is flexible. Not sure how well rattle can paint would bond to it. Besides paint is heavy. I almost had Spinergy re-lace them with black spokes last fall when I sent them out to be serviced. I wish I did, but the appearance of them doesn't bother me that much to spend money on them.

I guess if I wanted to make the beater look better, I could put my 404s on it. Except they have silver spokes. Damn, I can't win.

Tire pressure is something that drives me bonkers. Major newbie mistake is to pump those babies up to 120PSI or whatever the "max pressure" is.

It has warmed up to -12°. Yay.

This is fine for you at 135, but for me at 205, the difference between 105 psi and 115 psi is best described as a pinch flat. I know through experimentation what pressure I need to successfully use each wheelset and tire combination without exponentially increasing the odds of nuisance flats. And I run 25's and wide rims on 2 of 3 bikes.

I'm a 110 guy at 200 lbs . . . when I take the nozzle off it drops to 100 which suits me fine.

I got an offer on my boat. If that thing sells my access to bike schwag funding will be significantly greater.

You need that ice bike more than I do. Plus you have a few lakes in your new state, right??

Of course heavier riders need more PSI. I would suspect you need about 115 if running 23's and 105 if running 25's, roughly.

Just got off the phone with the doctor's office. Insurance company denied cardiac rehab for me. Ejection fraction is at 50%. Woohoo!!!!

Now if you would only get rid of all your firearms and realize that it doesn't matter if your road bicycle weighs 13 lbs or 16 lbs, you'd have something.

I've had three. First was imported from Russia, second was a stock 56 made here, and latest is custom using the best of the first two. First was essentially traded in for the second. The Russian Paketa was sweet. Well precedes my BF days, back when only idiots took photos of their bike.

They were excited about the second one, the eggplant one I still have. It was stiff and fast, but never fit as perfectly as the first one. And I've always thought it was ugly. The combination of tubing, compact geometry, and deep purple does nothing for me, but I rode the crap out of it until early 2011. I remember the day I picked it up. Put it in the Explorer and thought, I just traded my bike for an ugly purple bike.

I can only imagine that I'd look somewhat like Ralphie's little brother (A Christmas Story) if I were to bundle up appropriately to ride in this weather.

One or two, yet I've never even ice skated.
