Excellent. I have no idea whether I got decent stuff, but it's a good time to find out. Are you mountain time or central? When is too early for you to toast? I'm functional til 11 eastern (don't know if I can say standard because of stupid DST).

I started without you. I opened the JW double black. I think I prefer bourbon

What a country. She would be able to help you with this like a couple times a day. The Ridgewood soccer mom's are no way as nearly talented. |
I started with the bourbon. Here's to you and your wife.
I am a big fan of The Princess Bride book and movie, and to me, the best line in both is, "Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who tells you differently is selling something." I am sorry for yours, and wish you well. |
Bourbon tastes like getting punched in the mouth by an oaken fist.

Some Styx, some one leg drills, 20 minutes of over under, and a few VO2 intervals. Evening endorphin fix achieved.

Ugh. 1000m in the pool last night, torture. A quick 5 mile run this evening, still annoying, but not quite torture.
A planned 50 mile ride with the bike club guys tomorrow, with expected temps approx 50? Heaven. |

I know my place. I actually have a "spare" road bike (Nashbar aluminum road frame) that I would consider converting to a TT bike, but with the road geometry I don't think it's going to work. |

They have a 74° sta and a very short top tube. With a zero setback post, or a push forward, they aren't bad for a drop bar aero clip on build. They are short enough to work, and are RollCNY approved. :thumb:

I am getting dangerously close to a posting milestone.

Funny, Styxx is my daughters favorite band of all time.. She has seen them in concert more times than I have been to concerts. She has posters and albums, autographs, you name it. The band is older than she is.

D, don't you ride a custom geo road bike? Getting a TT set up might be a bit of a challenge. I think typically TT top tubes are a bit shorter.
I paid a guy to get mine sorted, but basically the TT fit rotates you forward/nose down such that the bottom of your stroke is further back.. that helps keep your hip angle open which helps power and comfort. |
Drinking and working on the house. It's an old house, and nothing is really square, anyway, so **** it.

Yes, I do ride a custom road bike. But I snagged one of those Nashbar frames in the largest size as it comes pretty close to my custom geometry. The stupid short TT is perfect for my long legs and short torso. |

I dumped the Scotch. That crap is foul. I poured a bracer of bourbon. Much better

Make sure that you compare your custom frames sta to the nashbar as well. It is a short frame, but the 565 (IIRC) TT is mitigated by the 74° sta, so it is probably closer to a 575 on a 73° bike. Just saying. I own 3 of the things so I'm kinda familiar.
