Datlas. I did that two years ago when I did my first race. I hated it. If you want mine, pm me your address and I'll send them to you. I'll never use them again.

Thanks for the offer.

I actually have a set in a drawer that I have never used. A cycling/tri friend of mine said they messed up his back so he gave them to me about 4 years ago. I have not used them but am thinking about it.

I need whatever help I can get. My swim is still full of fail, but I have committed to going to the pool 3-4x/week for the next few months, and will be working with a swim coach to help me.

I figure that if my swim is still slowl, I may want to play to my strength which is the bike...still not sure about these aero bars but I suppose I should just give them a try (tri), and if they feel ok and don't mess up my back I can use them for the cycling legs of the tri's I will be doing this season.

He also said he is a runner. Several years ago we both ran the half marathon, and according to the time sheet, he beat me by less than a minute, as I recall (he was mayor at the time).

Swimming in the pool frequently leads to crispy hair, I have discovered...

never believe a politician who uses bicycling to make political capital.

I know. People in Tennessee exploit cycling all the time for crass political gain.

Our Dave does. He rode a bike to work to look all green. Behind him his chauffereed car was following with his briefcase.

I have two dozen resumes on my desk. One of them misspells "Kohl's" and the person worked there.

That was the problem I had. I could stay in the drops or IAB with my forearms on the hoods and still control the bike pretty well. With the aerobars and my current setup, my back really hurt, and control was a nightmare. i.e., I was faster without them.

I often misspell my ex-employers. What's your point?

I can do a 15 mile ride from the suburbs to downtown and not see one other cyclist on the roads. Can you do that in LimeyLand?

no. too many of them. some of them do not belong on the road for their own good.

You click on as many multi-quotes as you want, but for the last one that you want to quote, hit "Reply with Quote." Makes sense to me.

I once received an application from a person who said that the reason they left their prior job was: "could not get along with the manger."

And therein (many versus few) lies the difference between there and here.

This has been another edition of remedial politics 101.

If I'm not mistaken, the number one reason for leaving a job is poor rapport with the employee's immediate supervisor. This was from a poll probably a decade ago, but I doubt things have changed much.

I've put that on apps before, not exactly in those words, though.

Yes, but to have a disagreement with the manger... that's a whole different story.

When I have to claw my way through the MUP and bikelane throngs in Portland then come back over here I often hope that crazy cycling trend never catches on over here :)
