i would have thought that kitchen aid has had enough r&d to be able to make a tea kettle that doesn't dribble boiling water everywhere when you pour.

that is not the case.

I know.

I went to a female Internist (kinda chunky) and her nurse and receptionist are shall we say, BIG. Since I'm shallow, I won't be going back to that office since they don't set a great example of good health. The Dr. specializes in a program that is supposingly a safe, effective, research proven, adults, pediatric and adolescent weight management program. YIKES!!!!

Thanks for posting. I'm a very visual person - seeing is believing! I stand corrected.

So good to read.

Vet thinks he has malignant cancer and he has 4-8 months to live. Let's hope he's wrong (biopsy work won't be back until tomorrow or Monday) or that he stays healthy longer. We won't let him suffer, that's for sure. But he has a few months. Multiply anything in a dog's life by a factor of seven. 5 months for a dog is like 3 years for you and me. That is valuable time for him and for us to spend together.

If there is a "good" side to this, it's that you know and have time to really enjoy those last months.

I had absolutely no warning when I lost my other greyhound. He literally went from running and playing like a puppy, to collapsed in the yard. He had hemangiosarcoma... cancer of the blood vessels. A mass of blood vessels formed on his heart that burst, filling the sac around his heart with blood. There was nothing that could be done. I would have traded anything for another 4-8 months with him.

It's too bad we can't slow our life down to match his years.

It's interesting how each Addiction thread has its own tone, it's own soul.

Dying dogs and eating healthy talk are kinda depressing though.

the kid on the right looks like he's wearing a fat suit... the lines around his wrists and neck seem too defined.

still, that makes me sad. and kind of angry.

AYE CARUMBA!!! I wouldn't mind shovelling through that like Pcad's plowman shovelling his driveway.

Road story!

Whilst cycling on the Middlebrook autobahn I happened upon what I assume is this convoy, returning back to pick up the second installment of the 218-ton cyclotron (whatever that is). A very long truck/trailer accompanied by other vehicles, including several sheriff's cars.

It might have been neat to suck wheel off the convoy, potentially cruising through red lights in the process. But it was not fast enough for Velo Vol pace, so I sped off down a side road and went an alternate route.
