They stick around here all winter. I really wish I'd figured out some means of putting up bird feeders after we cut down the two invasive species trees outside the kitchen window.

Most don't. It's an animal product.

That's dumb. Do they eat mushrooms that grow on cow dung? Or vegetables that grow in worm casing infested dirt?

On the other hand I can't say I miss the raccoons they attracted, who like to take our trash bins for walks through the back yard.

I know. I guess since the cows don't directly produce mushrooms, and the worms don't create the seeds that make the vegetables, that sort of thing is far enough removed. My understanding is that honey is off limits for the same reason milk from mammals is, and possibly because the bees are "farmed" and therefore possibly "exploited". Although I think bee farms are kind of important, given their evermore precarious existence. Bees are free range. It's not like they're kept in sad, dirty, excrement filled pens, and force fed grains like cows are.

And all honey is is bee vomit.

Velo Vol 02-28-13 09:38 AM

What about Maple syrup?

Vegans can bite me..... but of course they won't because I am an animal product.

Haha!

I just found out that there is an Army aerobic fitness reward program. Do a certain amount of aerobic exercise and they give you a certificate, plus it goes on your pers file. 1 unit of cycling is 7 minutes or 3 km, and the reward levels are 2000 units each.

Thanks to my Garmin and Sporttracks, I have records of every single ride dating back to Dec 2008, adding up to roughly 8000 units. All I have to do is fill out the form and attach my SportTracks logs and I'm good to Level 4 (of 6) HA!

I thought people in the army were already supposed to be in shape?

Good point.

LAJ 02-28-13 10:11 AM

I build up credit for each day I cycle in. Typical crap, as I voted against the workplace rewarding fitness.

Have you given up?

I bet you're not even going to ride the Tour of Taiwan, are you?

Healthy lifestyle is a choice. Healthy workstyle is a way to get out of work.

Didn't I see that it's 27C over there? I hope you idiots are happy. It's not even supposed to clear 50F here in the next five days. Earlier there were snow flurries. I am so sick of this winter crap.

You get to exercise during work? What's the problem?
