How's the cycling looking this weekend?

i'm not getting on the trainer tonight because i spent over two hours clearing the driveway. by some merciful miracle the snow blower started on the 3rd pull, (that ****er never starts for me) and despite running it out of gas, and then later deciding it needed to nap and quit again, i got the whole driveway cleared at least once. of course by the time i was done there was another inch where i started.

i stopped once i got sick of chasing my tail. it's still snowing.

i was so triumphant that since i've come back inside i've nearly finished off a 750mL bottle of belgian ale and ate a few of mr. ts' frozen chicken taquitos. honey badger don't give a ****.

the best part is that i have a six hour road trip to michigan tomorrow. in the fiat. to spend the weekend standing outside shooting pictures. woohoo!!

on the upside, heavy, sticky snow ends up being really pretty. the trees are all coated and it's lovely.

I wish I could video some of my rides. They'd be YouTube favourites, for sure

I was VERY close to making a GoPro purchase about a week ago. I might have to go back and get it if it's still there this weekend. Says it's missing a USB cable and it's $119. Dunno if that's a proprietary cable, if not then daily video MUP action for you all!

They are saying 50/50 that Dad will wake up from the coma. What he is like after he wakes up is anyone's guess.

Obviously modding and riding are on the back burner.

That doesn't sound like a fun weekend.

Question: If you're going to be gone, why even bother with the driveway? The snow might be melted away by Sunday.

it's a normal camera usb. not proprietary. i can't even tell which one belongs to my camera, go pro or garmin anymore. if it's a hero 3, that's a good deal. if it's the older one... errr... meh.

Yes pretty, while the branches break and then they break the power cables. :(

That's not a good spot for family members to be at.

Hope he recovers soon. No one understands how the brain works.

Epic.

I think we'll be getting that storm tomorrow.

Something to look forward to.

because if i don't, the fiat will end up beached on a snowbank. also, mr. ts will yell at me when he gets home if i just drive over it. It takes longer than 2 days for 6"s of snow to melt, and it wont, since it's going to be below 32º until sunday.

i'm looking forward to this weekend. i'm shooting ice racing and it's going to be a fun challenge because the contrast of bright white ice and snow can be difficult.

Yes, the Hero 3. I have a nice collection of USB, mini USB and micro USB cables so I might as well pick that puppy up.

We actually have trees that interfere with some of the cables to the house... but for the most part power around here is pretty reliable. I'll knock on wood though since I'd hate to jinx myself. Worst case we have a 6000 watt generator in the garage I can drag out and start up for some space heaters.

The storm is supposed to get worse as it heads to new england. hope everybody stays safe. Make sure you stock up on bread and milk.

Oh boy, that looks extra dumb.

Do you photograph for an organization? Sell photos to racers? Travel hither and yon for amateur photography?

Racing on ice. I've done it on motorcycles in the past. Now I have to pedal on the ice. You never heard of studded tires? That's what I have been doing for the last few rides.

studded tires have a remarkable amount of grip. it's no more stupid than normal dirt track racing besides the flesh shredding possibility of the tires. i've only ever done it in a car, which was pretty wild. we keep selling any dirtbikes we get before we get a chance to buy screws and tires to stud.

So I came to Starbucks to sip some tea and internet but there's been a very loud CPA consulting with a very loud client @ the corner table the whole time I've been here.

Can you say harshing my vibe, bro?
