Yes. I had a very nice venison pie when I visited home last year. No chance of that here.

That is beyond pathetic.

If you feel the need to harass the BF Holy See, have at it you sorry heathen Fred scum. But if you eff with the Pope, you have bigger worries than getting infractions from 41 mods.

I've been to the mods, but I reserve that kind of thing for pm harrassment and death threats. i kid you not. some freaky people in P&R.

P&R is like a halfway house, for people who have hope of redemption. TH is the cesspool that is for those beyond redemption.

Roads look wet and gritty from some recent light snow...getting ready for a quick 50 mile club ride.

Rollers. Steady stuff like that is much more tolerable when there is some risk of falling over.

Nice looking workout. I was wondering how you got so many "miles" out of that workout. Being on rollers explains it. I'm glad you are enjoying sweet spot workouts. I did one Monday night and I was miserable.

How do you have club rides on Wednesday mornings? I've never figured that out. Just a bunch of profession types (jobs not professional riders) that are able to make their own work schedules?

We have a motley crew of characters who ride. Some are IT guys who essentially work from home and can make their own schedule. Some are university types who have some flexibility in their schedules. We have a few shift workers who are there about half the time. We have some pharma-type guys who took early retirement and work their own schedule. In the summer our ridership grows since we have a few teachers.

Somehow, it works. And nothing beats a mid-week ride. It's hard to be good on the bike if you only ride on weekends.

The "miles" are higher on rollers. I set the resistance (magnetic) so that I get the desired power at the highest speed. I find going faster reduces chances of landing on the stereo next to the rollers.

RecceDG 02-06-13 06:38 AM

Ooooooo.

That's not a tank - it's a bridgelayer. That one has a Leopard 1 chassis (same as our older tanks) but the guys crewing it are Engineers, not tankers.

No tanker would do a neutral turn on a cobbled road. That's just... cringe.

He had a ground guide fer crissakes. They could have backed him out.

I've only hit the ground once on rollers and that was when I was dismounting. I placed my foot (metal speedplay cleats) on the frame of the rollers (metal as well). For some reason it did not work out well. I still remember laying there trying to get my other foot unclipped and looking at my dog. I swear she was actually laughing at me.

Microsoft is an even bigger facepalm than Whoosshhhfat. Did you see the reviews of that newest version of their Surface device? It's like the computing equivalent of a hybrid bike.

Complete, utter friggin FAIL on every level.

Why are tons of football players and baseball players gettting caught on the juice, yet there records stand, their teams records stand, but in cycling that isn't the case? Interesting..

A tablet that can run all of your x86 programs is a fail?

Like, say, TrainerRoad, just to throw one at there at random.
