i don't get that either. after watching our neighborhood flood, and being cut off from everything because all the streets around us were under a foot of water, but we stayed dry because we're on a hill, i will never buy a house not on a hill. actually i learned that when i was a kid, as our house was basically at one of the highest elevations in town.

i get that garageband is like the four-track of days gone by, and it's perfect for exactly what pcad is doing, but just yesterday my mastering engineer friend posted liner notes from an old album that he worked on with a long list of studios that don't exist anymore. then he posted a pic of a mastering compressor that cost more than my car. i feel so badly for my music industry friends.

I do both the coffee and the morning ride. fresh coffee from freshly ground beans with my muesli for breakfast. commute into work by bike. gets the morning off to a good start and helps keep me sane.

Same here. A fully awakened state requires a ride and a coffee. I prefer the ride pre-coffee myself.

Coffee rules all. When in doubt, coffee is the answer.

At first, I thought "Addict" was a particular bike that everyone was raving about. Or like the "Cult of CAAD" thread. But my admittedly short search did not turn up an Addict bike.

So -- what the hell are these addiction discussions about? Do we have that many heroin users here?

i've thought about trying to get my old job back, the commute would be nice by bike... minus the mildly gnarly neighborhood i'd have to get through.

commuting by bike doesn't work so well though when you have a 10' slipper commute.
