What the hell are these "addiction" discussions all about?

At first, I thought "Addict" was a particular bike that everyone was raving about. Or like the "Cult of CAAD" thread. But my admittedly short search did not turn up an Addict bike.

So -- what the hell are these addiction discussions about? Do we have that many heroin users here?

They're about nothing. The first one started as a thread about Pcad's Scott Addict, yes, so that's where the name came from, but now it's a series of monthly threads about relationship drama, life issues, drinks, and anything else that might possibly happen.

commuting by bike doesn't work so well though when you have a 10' slipper commute.

My bike is farther away than my work desk.

Shouldn't there be some kinda Fight Clubbish rule requiring us to ignore all enquiries about what this thread is about? :)

That's the summary. Someone will undoubtedly try and 'ftfy'.

I like your thinking here.

First rule of Addiction; you do not talk about Addiction.

My office is on the second floor; added degree of difficulty.

My bike is right next to my desk, strapped to the trainer at the moment.

Much like Seinfeld was a show about nothing, this thread is about the same, only not funny and not relevant.

mine too. i have to navigate a flight of stairs to get coffee in the morning. two flights to get to my bike in the basement.

morning coffee has become morning matcha latte made with almond milk though.

It's certainly worse-written.

Second rule of Addiction; all female posters will be referred to as Jen, whether it is accurate or not.

They made some changes that makes the URLs and stuff only work for paying folk.
Man... what is it with the administration of this site trying to subtract all the fun from it. Fun vampires, the lot of them.

Solo is gone? Did he throw all his toys out of the pram and storm out, or did he just vanish?

BBCode in the sig was disabled for non-paying members because of some problems with spambots.

Don't worry, I'm sure Velo Vol will post in this edition eventually.

LowCel 02-01-13 01:54 PM

I was just looking at Bicycling magazine, apparently they have seen Velo Vol's picture. They have a little article showing how jerseys are supposed to fit.

Bah Humbug 02-01-13 02:07 PM

Guess what? Just got another text. "I feel like ****." Don't know if she's talking about being sick (she's been for a couple days), or the chat, but I'm not responding.
