Agreed, it has to be a system you can stick with. Otoh, it sounds like you're struggling with the vegan plan.

There are definitely sacrifices that must be made, no matter what the plan. Once you get into a routine, though, it becomes easier.

Really sucks low cell and though it sounds trite , be assured at least that your dad is not suffering through all this.

Man, that's rough LC. And from coumadin, a medication millions of people take daily without a problem for years. That's just awful. Very sorry to hear that. Hope he comes around.

WHOOOSSHHH... 02-09-13 10:41 AM

I am so very saddened to hear that news Lowcell. All the best to you and your family during this very difficult time.

I guess they got a little snow in Connecticut.

datlas 02-09-13 11:58 AM

Wow, I just read that thieves stole a quarter million euros' worth of bikes from team Garmin...forced the team out of the Tour of the Mediterranean....

That's pretty balsy.

They shoulda just grabbed a handful of Trek 1.1s from an LBS in Toulon and put Cervelo stickers on 'em.

Babies.

...

Still reading article in between bursts of actual work. So they were offered bikes but were worried about pedal/cleat setups, wow.

Uh, what difference does it make? Despite the collective protestations of just about everyone here, he kept going back to 8.

datlas 02-09-13 01:18 PM

I got the bad GI bug earlier this week. Luckily, it was only bad for one day.

I just weighed myself and I am down to 134. I think I was 137 or 138 before I got sick.

Holy crap.

datlas 02-09-13 01:20 PM

Best thoughts going to your Dad and your family, LowCel.

M.D.s of BikeForums,

How does walking exacerbate acid reflux? Asking for a friend.

LesterOfPuppets 02-09-13 01:45 PM

I'd give her a 9 body, 5 face, 2 personality based solely on what I've seen here. :)

Must have something to do with the inability to resist Asian street food while walking.

It probably shouldn't. I suppose if you are breathing heavily it could increase intra-abdominal pressure and increase reflux. That is more likely with lifting etc.

If someone has "reflux" that is worse with exertion, for example, it could be what we call inferior ischemia...which is a major heart problem.

Don't get medical advice on the internet btw...

p.s. if this is on behalf of coasting, it's probably because he is too fat...but again see the line above for disclaimer.
