Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I need a one piece leather racing suit, not a corporate power suit.

My last one turned into leather jerky after 5 years of sweating in it every weekend.

Why does that SoundCloud site want to harvest all my intimate personal information just for me to like something?

How would Limeys know where to get horsemeat in Clark County?

In other news,

My new office has no window

Think I'm gonna have to fire up the laptop and kick it in the lunch room. Also there's no fridge in there yet.

Why not? It's marketing. What are you a Marxist? Why do you hate America?

Funny, every day I care for and treat idiots like that, bravado masking stupidity and undone by the very fragile compartmentalized bag of salt water that we are.

It's the weather. Ice/snow causes me to bag it on messy days. When it stays dry, particularly weekends, I can push it closer to 200 miles/wk in mid winter. 191 miles this past week, and that was in 6 days of riding. The cold mornings make it tough, if I ride mid-day it's tough to sneak out for more than 20 miles or so most days. Once I can switch to early AM rides my shorter rides are generally 30 miles. I was on the road @ 7:30 this AM.

I'm much saner once I start hitting 200 miles weekly, it takes 250-350 for me to achieve Pcad Cycling Zen.

In my flashback college dreams, activated by a 17 yo son going trough that phase. If only I wasn't so responsible. I'm thinking there will be a resurgence of head shops with the boomers going into retirement.

Those are some awesome bike trails you have out there. Are they always so quiet? How many miles of them are there out there.
