Can't believe how much complaining there is in the "hot or not" thread. If you don't want people to nit pick your bike, or say that it's not hot it may not be the thread for you.

It's been pretty crazy, first the rash of crappy bikes, then the grumpy friend of a Co-Motion owner!

Coming from the source, I'll say thank you. :p

I'm thinking about taking dairy back out of my diet.

I'm taking enough calcium and vit. d supplements to make expensive pee, and my weight loss has plateaued.

Since I had a birthday, and the calcium was bogo, I have enough for almost 7 months of my current dosage. I'll probably continue with it. Hopefully if/when I get chucked off my bike at a high rate of speed again I wont be so fragile and I'll fight off the onset of osteoporosis since I'm getting to be an old lady.

Hey ts, you or the hubby ever think about running drag bikes?

No.

Haven't been juicing lately since I don't want to go through the effort of prepping all the veg. Probably healed enough where it might not be a problem anymore.

Been eating a lot of red cabbage salad though.

Ha! yeah, um. no.

Well, actually we have gone to the strip as a training session. It's good practice for race starts. Turns out I don't totally suck at it, but going in a straight line ultimately gets really boring.

once you've been on a motorbike, doesn't cycling seem a little bit slow?

It's different.

On a motorbike, I'm wearing a full faced helmet, boots, gloves, and armored leathers with a back protector.

On a pedalbike, it's a beer cooler hat, and spandex that only covers half my skin. 30mph is terrifying.

Front wheel: 28h, 2x. What spokes? Race (2/1.8/2) or Laser (2/1.5/2)?

I should say riding a pedal bike (for me) has nothing to do with that kind of adrenaline rush. I have no interest in going fast or racing a pedal bike.

Should I post a picture of the Schwinn?

What more could you ask?

coasting 03-25-13 09:47 AM

i've gone 58mph on a pedal bike. how cool is that?

LowCel 03-25-13 09:47 AM

I'm still debating bottle cages. Do I want to drop the money on a pair of Zipp cages or be reasonable and go with another pair of Elite Custom cages. I still can't figure out why they are called "custom" when so many people own them and they are all the same except color. They are damn good cages though. :o

LAJ 03-25-13 09:47 AM

28 hole, you can easily get by with Laser.

LAJ 03-25-13 09:50 AM

I put a link up to some awesome cages. LowCel. Haven't lost a bottle yet, and they have a matte carbon finish.

I know nothing of wheel building, but I say Race. Lasers belong on sharks.
