Sounds like what happened when I bought my wetsuit 2 yrs ago.

It was a little loose last time I put on

Aren't you in MSP? Freewheel has wheel building classes and a public shop equipped with truing stands.

Cool - I was going to look up wheelbuilding classes in the area. I saw that someone (Freewheel? The Hub?) has a shop that you can rent hourly, but haven't looked in to it yet - will do that now.

I may be coming to Tampa for a course in May. If so, I'll take you out for a beer.

Sweet. Will you marry me?

Who was it who said that he wasn't going to get married again, instead he'll just find a woman he hates and buy her a house.

Thanks guys. The pain will pass... I just have to keep my eyes on the REAL prize. "Retirement" at 50 on a sailboat.

It helps a lot. As does a dishing tool, spoke tension gauge, full compliment of tools, workspace.... Wait.... That's me. I'm a tool junkie.

Wheel dish gauge, truing stand, and a spoke tension meter. They all help.

She's a Cheoy Lee ketch. There are a LOT of good, solid ones around at "bargain" prices as far as bluewater sailboats go.

You all have the right to punch me in the throat repeatedly until my voice cannot utter those words if I ever even consider it.

Next available class is 4/1 and 4/8. Might just do that.

Now that I'm not in a <900 sq ft condo, I'm sure I'll start accumulating more.

Good deal. There is nothing better than a well equipped workspace.

I know that it does not apply for wheel building, but might I suggest an impact driver as an early purchase. I got one 3months ago, and don't know how I lived for 45yrs without one.

:roflmao2:

It'll be on the list, but I 'm getting along fine with my drill, for now - circular and mitre saws are higher on the list.

...and I'd like to get a compressor and various attachments...

I'll echo this sentiment. I <3 my 12v Milwaukee. Light, powerful, all around great little tool.

Thank you... but I must admit... it was shaved off yesterday morning. I was tired of chewing on it every time I tried to eat anything. It's gone until next year's shenanigans.
