Aren't you in MSP? Freewheel has wheel building classes and a public shop equipped with truing stands.

I may be coming to Tampa for a course in May. If so, I'll take you out for a beer. |

Who was it who said that he wasn't going to get married again, instead he'll just find a woman he hates and buy her a house.

It helps a lot. As does a dishing tool, spoke tension gauge, full compliment of tools, workspace.... Wait.... That's me. I'm a tool junkie. Wheel dish gauge, truing stand, and a spoke tension meter. They all help. |

I know that it does not apply for wheel building, but might I suggest an impact driver as an early purchase. I got one 3months ago, and don't know how I lived for 45yrs without one.
It'll be on the list, but I 'm getting along fine with my drill, for now - circular and mitre saws are higher on the list. ...and I'd like to get a compressor and various attachments... |
