Regardless, all of you will covet the Foil and rue the day my purchase of this sled motivated me to come back over there and clog the airwaves again.

Last summer in Maine my wife struck a small deer with our car (no damage). The truck behind us immediately pulled over and picked it up. Fresh meat, I suppose.

I just had to share:
Q. What is a terminal illness? A. When you are sick at the airport. Q. What does the word 'benign' mean? A. Benign is what you will be after you be eight. |

Do the bold one. Get a bike you don't intend to race, and the compact will be nice for Whiteface, as well as some of the other fun climbs (I like the "take random turns around Jay" approach). Do you really need power data if you are only there intermittently? Then finish the year on your current race rig, and after the year of climbing on the composite Ultegra, you will know if that is a base you want to improve on or not as a race rig.
This time of year if I'm north I'm doing a recovery ride, or openers. Neither of which I need power for. It is nice to have climbing Whiteface though. As it's really easy to blow up on that. But I could, as others have pointed out, set it up for power and then just slap my SRM on there when needed. Might be the best option. Worst case I could always get another season out of my race frame and just upgrade the components. Get some Di2 brifters and such. |
Your typical NY subway ride.

Surely there must be a St. Patrick's Day parade in your town! Perhaps you could go rain on that...:-)

I would say that the text back was a good text. She used exclamation points. |

Question- Why do they name hurricanes after women. Answer- Because they arrive all wet and wild and when they leave they take your house and car. |

She's the girl I went out with last night. Cute, 24, runs distance, used to do some cycling but got spooked after her last crash. Did one tri, hated the swimming. So, marathon girl.
My wife doesn't even know HOW to ride a 2 wheel bicycle. But she is a good egg otherwise, so I am keeping her, or better said she is keeping me. p.s. Don't tell marathon girl surgeonstone's joke. Or she will likely run AWAY from you. |

Oh, and I just had my first trainer ride with 5700. The derailleur springs are stronger (front and rear). Shift levers are crazy long throw though. And I went to upshift the front and let the brake lever return before the shift lever and it dropped back to the small ring immediately. Will take some getting used to, but the quicker shifts are nice. |

I already covet the Foil. I've been wanting one. Not in the cards, at the moment - cheap Nashbar frame is next, then a BD Ti, I think.

Next test: are you aware that the qualities that make for a good GF don't necessarily make for a good spouse and/or parent?? |
