I've never used Strava on Android, but I use it on my iPhone and it's fantastic—carry your phone's charger with you though..the GPS drains the battery quite harshly. (The latest high-end Android phones have battery life that leaves a lot to be desired. It's getting better but it's still not the best.)

Whatever app you get for your android, it's not going to be as accurate as uploading your ride from your Garmin.

Something that hasn't been addressed here yet: an app that records the ride such as Strava and at the same time provides turn by turn GPS navigation. I like Strava and have three or four GPS navigation apps which are all OK, but nothing that does both. I don't have an answer for that.
