Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There's about 160 calories in a full strength 375ml beer.

So, do the maths....eg: 8 beers = ~1280 carolies, which is nearly 2.5 Big Macs....without all the fat, of course.

Still much better than spirits (in many ways): a 375ml can of Jim Beam and Coke has about 380 clories!!!!
SO, if you have four of them, that's 1520 calories = nearly 3 Big Macs = ~30 Weet-Bix!!

BUGGER!! missed the first 15mins of Shoab bowling at 180kmh!!

I'm gunna say this again before he goes out: Ponting is not a number 3!!
He starts too shaky. If you compare him to Dravid and Laxman, he's nowhere as solid when he first gets with against new ball.

You got it on the telly? Is Shaob bowling fast or just throwing down pies?

So who's your number 3 then? Bloody Hodge or someone?

How do you reckon all our hero bogan batsmen would go against Marshall, Holding, Ambrose, Garner, Croft and Roberts?

Just goes to show what a superstar Greg Chappell was; he averaged nearly 54 in an era which included some of the best and fastest bowlers of all time. Langer and Hayden would average 25 against the 80s Windies.

Who do ya reckon?....."Herb" Elliot, of course, but it's too late for him now, so I've gotta think of someone else.

Hodge is ordinary.

this is a juicy thread in the 'suggestions' forum, which began innocently, then ended up with the thread starter being banned after sending some threatening and abusive emails

They'd be *****. Then again, pitches these days are belters, so bowlers are on a hiding to nothing usually.

Sucks Shaob's only bowling 140's. What's the point of him?

If he's such a shaky starter, why has he already cruised ahead of langer on runs and run rate?

Gotta at least pretend to stick up for the local
