I was up late trying to stop that guy replacing his old Casati with another 5 pound frame. |
So.....the Aussie thread still lives. Good. Try to hit 10,000 posts.
"If it's not worth doing extreme.....it's not worth doing" BTW, the forum posts outside are getting pretty boring. |

The Cervelo, 2 "good" 531 frames, 2 old (heavy) 531 frames, and a cheap Tange frame that's actually not too bad. |
So, who's gettin' holidays?
|
I'm actually going to HAVE to do some work here, so I will be in and out over the Christmas-New Year period. I'm saving up some days for a 1000km ride on 2-3-4 January -- I'll need a day or two to recover, methinks.
|
I killed a bird with two stones yesterday by doing all my christmas shopping on my bike: 2 trips to Benlteigh, one to JB Hi Fi, and one trip to Southland. I scored 35km in the process.
Gets a bit hard carrying things; especially the outdoor furniture set I got for my parents. |
Ahh... that's why I built a six-foot bike trailer. Goes on behind my old steel-framed Apollo MTB. Made of aluminium security mesh -- tough stuff. 20" wheels. I've carried up to 70kg (but that gets a bit tough if there is any incline). Just the ticket for outdoor furniture.
By the way, welcome to utility cycling. It's the end of the world, of cousre -- it shows you're getting too old for racing :D . |

bike -- it's for serious riding only" kind of guy, but one day I got sick of trying to find a car park at the gym, so I thought: "jeez, surely I could ride here." That was it. Next thing I knew I was commuting to the ATM and the 7-11 :p Then, in 1999, I went to uni, and it was all over. Before I knew it I had six bikes, and between 1999 and 2001, 90% of my kms were commuted, |

Well, I figure cask wine has a use-by date on it. And when it's left over from Xmas party time, and it's Xmas eve, and I am the only buggger left here (even the pool outlook from my window is pretty bleak)... I figure a glass or two of medicinal wine can't go astray. A nice Yalumba Cardboard Cab Merlot. Hmmmm...mmmm. And there's some cask white left, too...
Now let's see, which Seppo can I go and pick on... especially from the Big Apple? |
