Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Labor of Love!

I have been building bikes as long as I have been riding, a mere 3 years consistently. And have built over a dozen bikes. Nothing feels better and more satisfying when your building your own bike and the feeling of gratification is immense. Maybe its addiction

My last build, to me is pure bike porn, my customized 2013 Specialized S Works SL4.

Where did you buy your frame set from? Order it through the dealer?

Awesome.

Could you share your technique on how to "fish" the cables?

I'm building my 1st bike and I have the same internal cabling. The cabling is what's getting me nervous about my build.

Your bike should have Pre-installed cable guides for easy cable install. If not you can do it the old fashion way or go to your local lbs and see if they have any cable guides lying around.

I logged in about 80 miles the past few days, and this bike is super stiff, more agile and a lot more comfortable than my Venge. About a pound lighter and its just as aggressive. I have a feeling my Venge might be collecting a bit of dust on the bike rack in the garage.

Did you use Mavic Cosmic or Roval Rapide CLX40? If Roval how do you like?
