Best additive for my water bottle that isnt high in calories or sodium

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I use these: https://vegasport.com/product/electrolyte-hydrator/

They do have some sodium though.

I don't get what the OP is looking for. You drink while you ride to 1) hydrate, 2) replenish calories, and/or 3) replensih electrolytes.

If you don't want calories or salt (i.e. an electrolyte) drink water.

If you need just electrolytes, Enduralyte Fizz (has sodium, but again if you don't want sodium, drink water).

If you need to hydrate, replenish calories, and replenish electrolytes, pick your poison of Gatorade, Gu Brew, Roctane, Heed, etc.

you'll find that just about all of the commercial electrolytes include sodium. If you're low on potassium you can get more by eating the foods mentioned or taking a potassium pill. Typical commercial electrolyte sports drinks come in two types, those that are just electrolytes and those that include some form of sugar or maltodextrin for calories. There's not much need for them for a one hour ride but if you go longer than that you should plan on getting some calories along the way, either by snacking or drinking your calories and at that point you should be considering electrolyte replacement too. HEED is my favorite drink with calories. Cytomax (something like that) is my favorite with mostly just electrolytes if I recall, but it may also have some calories.

That's because if you're going hard and long enough to need a sports drink, you need sodium.

It's good for you. Prevents hyponatremia, preserves plasma volume, and may be of some help in avoiding cramping. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2657026/

Not an additive, but I use coconut water with a pinch of salt added. Coconut water has a ton of potassium, as well as magnesium. It's fairly low calorie. Just need to add a bit of salt to make the perfect (for me anyway) sports drink. Of course, you're unlikely to find refills at your usual convenience store. Once I've gone through two bottles of the coconut water, I'm usually good with plain water the rest of the way.

Not cytomax, it has a bunch of sugar in it.

Cytomax has 120 mg of sodium.

Again, these drinks come with sodium because the data indicate sodium works in a sports drink.

These Potatoes and Leafy Greens, who makes them? Is it a dissolvable tablet or a gel? Such strange names for a product.

The OP didn't want calories either, and the post I responded to regarding cytomax mentioned it had low sugar content, which is what I addressed. Not sure why there was a response regarding sodium when I didn't bring that up

Unless you're hypertensive. You need sodium when exercising in warm weather. Search online for a DIY electrolyte drink. Sea salt, lite salt and baking soda, add lo-cal flavoring. You lose tons of sodium through sweat. I don't usually cramp while cycling in the hot, humid local climate, but when running it's a given. Without supplemental electrolytes, the large muscles in my legs cramp within 30 min.s. No way would I omit the sodium.

The post you quoted and responded to said: "you'll find that just about all of the commercial electrolytes include sodium...."

then you said: "Not cytomax, it has a bunch of sugar"

I see now, that you were responding to the end of the quoted post, not the beginning of it.
