So let me get this straight, Anything TREK is forbidden here?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm desparately looking for a older 5200 carbon with the USPS Team colours. Ten years ago we wouldn't be caught dead on this bike because we knew what was going on. But now, this specific bike is so over the top in vulgar bad taste that it is cool to ride.

I'm riding a Lemond. Great bike.

Would you be interested in a headset compression cap that says "Omerta?"

Trek has gotten much better about that lately, and are far more tasteful with the logo placement than they had been. Bontrager still goes a bit nuts, but it's not too bad.

Anyone who has a CF bike is a lucky dude or dudet. TREK are cool but I chose BIANCHI. Its few and far between when I see another and that feels special to me. Its a fantastic ride too.

I do not think people really hate Trek here, or at least I have not noticed more negativity towards Trek than towards any other brand. Everything seems to be hated equally.

Pinarello just seems like too much form over function.

I LOVE this bike. Probably more than my Cannondale of the same vintage and better components. It just feels "alive", not sure how to explain it.

My wife has a neat Trek- it's an '83 or '84 620 if memory serves. She bought it new way back then.

I put new tubes and tires on it... repacked the hubs... touched up the BB... and had it converted to bar-end shifters. Now if I could just get dat be-atch to RIDE the damn thing. Wish it fit me- I'd ride it!
