Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Go with the skittles colors! None of my gear would match but I'd still go with it.
My road bikes are black/white,white/grey/black,red/white, my CXer's have a bit of colors.

My question is I don't care either way, and they both would have to be ordered by lbs. so if you were choosing this bike which would you go with. (When I say I do not care I really mean I care, its just a coin flip thing) on one hand I do not care for all that white. One the other. I do not want to hear nice bike dude; does it come in guy colors, in reference to the neon job. of course I know I will get the responses that I should not care what people say, yet it is just annoying to hear the same tired thing all the time. https://www.specialized.com/us/en/bik...mac-sl4-expert
The white/red bike is sexy and classy; the blue a bit trashy and ******. Your call bro!

Personally, the blue reminds me of a few Patagonia fleeces from back in the day that are pretty mortifying to look at in the closet now. Trendy becomes comical pretty quick. That said, I'm exaggerating a bit here; the blue is a nice bike, but I'd go white/red.

Why the Tarmac over the Roubaix?

well I rode a Tarmac and it felt better to me, it also seemed faster. I think for long rides I would want a Roubaix, yet most rides are >30 miles. and would ride 100 maybe 2-3 times a year.

I came to the same conclusion last year, I too went for a Tarmac over a Roubaix (Sl2 vs SL2). Spent this summer on it and I love the thing...couldn't be happier!

I've seen one of the blue/neon yellow Tarmacs in person. It's pretty...um...flamboyant. I'd personally go with the red/black one. IMO the whole Roubaix/Tarmac/Venge lines for 2014 have some pretty unattractive color schemes.

I will at least give them some credit for putting their name on each side of the bike once. Cannondale is bad about this and usually do it 5 times per side with name and model, Giant does it six times on some bikes. With the Tarmac it looks like Specialized didn't consider the lines of the bike, but went ahead with the design/masks.

I like the neon blue/yellow. Much better than the all black stuff that is soooooooo boring!

My CRR2 has Norco on it exactly 19 times... 19 EFFING TIMES... I swear it affects the weight...

https://www.pinkbike.com/photo/9073608/?s6

You can see the Norco in white...but some of those labels have a smaller Norco label in black right under it too...

I'm hoping someone can help me. I did a search and I found there is a 2013 Tarmac expert with color scheme of a black base with red trimming. I also seen this bike and was approached by Lbs to make a deal.

so is Specialized have mid year change on their production? Or am I been fool that the LBS is selling me an older year version? Thank you.

Here is a better pic, I actually like it from this angle, yet I could not see zipps 404s on it.[/QUOTE]
