Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Having seen the "dumb question" and "addiction is scary" threads, I wandered in here. Glancing back at the past 20 pages, it seems this is the thread for bored people?

Speaking of birds, I ran into a falconer today, out training his birds. This guy is getting his post-flight reward. Yum!

You lack proper context - start at the first Addiction, by the time you catch up, it'll all make sense.

Philistine, your comment is............reflective of the loss of conversational and cultural values that were valued in a bygone, more gracious age. I weep for the future.

The wind is really getting annoying. A little recon of the course for next weekends race, and I guess I'm glad I did. It made making an informed choice regarding which wheels to run easier, come race day.

Sounds much better than my outdoor time today - I was at the top of a ladder with safety glasses, a hammer and a chisel, carefully carving away at an ice dam that formed on the back side of the house.

I'm too bored even to banter, I think. I do have a funny true story about a cat in a coma, but I don't feel like typing the whole thing out.

Im going to watch the basketball game that's waiting on my DVR.
