Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was thinking. Shocking, I know.

This thread has some of the nicest bikes on BF. A number of companies are represented. Guru, NP, BMC, Cervelo, and Lynskey, SLC-SL, or Specialized from Whoooooosh. We should start a Best of Hot r Not. If Dan or Bill will cooperate, it should be a sticky.

When people visit BF, it could be a beacon of bike porn light. It's a no brainer.

Know that drill. I'm glad the kits aren't an issue anymore. I like the rep, and hope the kits live up to the pitch.

They are great. Like the Hincapie, they are forgotten when they're on. Good stuff.

I laughed out loud. Well done WHOOOSSHHH. No offense to anyone, but that was great.

Even if woooshie beats me bloody and senseless onto the floor, I still come out winners.

...besides the fact that, generally speaking, today's crop of roadies are the most provincial gang of people I've ever encountered,
the lack of ambition in terms of general worldliness and sophistication one encounters in the cabron fiber weight weenie crowd is profoundly depressing.

I can assure everyone here that twas not always thus. Bike racers, at one time at least, had some curiosity and spirit beyond EPO and weighing seat posts.

Thanks. Mrs. LAJ insisted. She worries when I sometimes choose to ignore sound reasoning. It's a good thing there is no record of some of the absolute idiocy on some of the Brevet's I did.

Doing my first races of the season in New Jersey this weekend. My last race of last season was up there last year. I hope these end better. Getting back on the horse.
