I was thinking. Shocking, I know.
This thread has some of the nicest bikes on BF. A number of companies are represented. Guru, NP, BMC, Cervelo, and Lynskey, SLC-SL, or Specialized from Whoooooosh. We should start a Best of Hot r Not. If Dan or Bill will cooperate, it should be a sticky.
When people visit BF, it could be a beacon of bike porn light. It's a no brainer.

...I'm in the middle of eating a crepe made with whole wheat flour and fresh asparagus and a champagne pear vinaigrette.
Even if woooshie beats me bloody and senseless onto the floor, I still come out winners.

...besides the fact that, generally speaking, today's crop of roadies are the most provincial gang of people I've ever encountered,
the lack of ambition in terms of general worldliness and sophistication one encounters in the cabron fiber weight weenie crowd is profoundly depressing.
I can assure everyone here that twas not always thus. Bike racers, at one time at least, had some curiosity and spirit beyond EPO and weighing seat posts.

Casually Deliberate
+1 Exactly. We had this debate ad nauseum years ago, behind the curtain. Ultimately we decided Road and Racing could each keep one off-topic thread . . . ONE. After all, this IS a bike forum. So there should be no surprise when we move other off-topic threads. And there should be no resentment of the Addiction thread because you either like it and join in, or you don't and stay out. There's no lock on the door. But just because the flow isn't exactly as you like it on any particular day, or at all, doesn't mean you can go off and start another off-topic thread. The rules are clear, and there is nothing arbitrary or capricious about it.
The bottom line is: you can never please everybody. Say La Vee!

Doing my first races of the season in New Jersey this weekend. My last race of last season was up there last year. I hope these end better. Getting back on the horse.
