Brifters vs. Downtube shifters

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like the Shimano Rapid Fire shifters on my mountain bike better than the old-fashioned thumb shifters.

And he does a fine job. However, may I suggest that you let him step away from the production line to eat lunch. There were peanut butter and jelly stains on my hubs.

I was just going to ask if the "bike racer" looked like Lance, and if joe932 dialed up to 400w - approx. 19 mph.

You should upgrade to hares. They're much faster.

Why can't I have a serious conversation about turtles without all these threadjackers bringing up all sorts of other critters?

Turtles are fine for the MUP, but professionals use hares.

Canned tuna has lost its appeal to me, now that it lost its porpoise.

While you noobs might like turtles, we old timers prefer Archelons
