I have latest project pics and no one else to inflict them on...
.
...so I'm back.
From this:

...in less than 20 hours of total work input.
Yes, it is now "sweet, and fast " in Craigslist terminology, as well as "dialed in", and "completely overhauled."

...we ought to publish official scorecards so people could keep track.
The banned users thread ought to have more in the way of history and drama.
It's so unsatisfying to just read that "X-guy" got tossed for a month for being a doosh.
Suggestion: links to the offenses and threads involved. #yourewelcome

I don't understand the before and after pics. You took 20 hours to wash the bike and retape the bars? You really are VV's sock pocket.

I like it, 3alarmer. I have an Aluminum Schwinn sled that looks a lot like that. Best bike ever, but damn is it heavy.

11-4 Sunday at Advance, Mr. @rjones28. Supposedly stocked with the Z series and AR's. I know they have the Athena EPS AR in stock in your size.

The finished product has been completely disassembled, every component cleaned in one of those ultrasonic cleaner thingies, the frame interior sprayed with an
oil finish that resembles frame saver, but is cheaper, all the bearings also tossed in the ultrasonic thingy, what remains of the original paint gets polishing compound,
then a coat of wax, frame and fork alignment are checked and adjusted if off, the wheels are run for spoke tension and either pulled tighter or, if good, balanced
and the the wheels trued, the cables are run new as part of the reassembly, all the places that should have had anti-seize but never did now get it, and the stuff that
ought to be torqued get torqued.
I think it takes me at least three hours on the wheels in order to do the job...these less because they were in fair shape tension wise and needed just a little up
and down tweaking on some adjacent spokes. And it took a while to get up the courage to touch the splash tape. Also, I answered the phone a few times
over at the co-op when I had it there.........always a mistake, but can be fun nonetheless.
This is why I don't do bike repair for other people.

@BillyD, when faced with adversity, some men look away, pretend to not notice, and imagine it is not their problem. But the good men look adversity in the eye, and say what needs to be said.

And if this post is unclear, it belongs on page 760 of a different thread, but I did not want to seem disrespectful of your actions there.

...I guess it's too late to post pictures of the Peloton in the Hotsnot thread. It's probably just as well.
