What, don't you have a dick? What happens to it when you run as much drop as me? Level doesn't work for me. It's a bit harder to ride no hands, but that was easy to get used to and it's better otherwise. Form follows function.

And are you actually dissing the style of my drops, or my setup? The toeclips should tell you something: this isn't a toy; it's a vehicle. Since it's ridden in street clothes, and thus less often reaching a speed worth getting in the drops, the bar/lever angle is tweaked in favour of minimising my frontal area while on the hoods.

It kinda looks like your bike is setup to allow you to comfortably run the amount of drop that you feel is required, as opposed to setting up your bike so that you can ride it comfortably as a matter of course.

Alternatively, you could run a level saddle, a reasonable amount of saddle to bar drop that better suits your level of flexibility and dick anatomy, level out your bar and hoods so they are not at a hideous angle for your poor wrists, and use the drops when you occasionally reach speeds that would benefit from minimized frontal area.

Your bars are hideous. what you have done with them and your saddle is ridiculous. And if you're commuting in street clothes, being aero isn't the priority, arriving unsweaty is. I have a penis, and I take care of it. Form follows function.

If you commute to work, and you are not sweating, you are doing something wrong, like riding like an old lady on a 3 speed comfort bike with a basket and a cute little fuzzy puppy in it.

Stop justifying yourself in this thread! This thread specifically is all about "LOOKS". If someone doesn't think its hot, then they dont think its appealing, regardless of its purpose.

You obviously have it in a position that you feel works best for you. If it works, then dont change. Nothing worse than tinkering with something that works just fine to then have it mess everything up and have to try and find that sweet spot. THAT BEING SAID, if you were to lower your seatpost and not ride with such a drop, you could level out your saddle and be just fine. Do what works for you though. Just dont worry about trying to sell us on why you have it the way you do, it doesn't matter and it will only fuel the fire.

Not. Not saying it's a bad bike, but there is nothing HOT about it to look at. Tall spacer stack, bars rotated up, really long headtube, hoods are set high on the bars, dork disc

I would like it better if the wheel depth would match. BIG fan of HED. Not sure what bar/stem you have, hopefully HED. Otherwise, hot bike.

It's OK. Looks kinda fancy, but nothing eye-catching. Bars and stem look a little sloppy and graphics rather plain, but fine overall and certainly respectable.

That Kestrel would be awesome with different wheels (don't like the front lacing), longer/lower stem, normal rounded bars, and a flat saddle like a Toupe. The frame is very pretty IMO.

those wheels are campagnolo's 3/4 lacing pattern circa 2006, the latest in lacing technology at the time according to the team of engineers in Italy.

I cant really defend the selle smp as a high performance racing saddle, its not. At 400 grams and 3x the padding of my previous perch it is no light weight. I will say that my but currently loves it, who knows for how long but I grew tired of my fizik and my body needed something else.
It has a very wide channel which helps but the most obvious feature, the down turned nose, kicks ass. The channel extends past the turn point which frees up extra space for my goods and I dont snag my jersey or chamois when Im climbing out of the saddle.

Took an absolute beating on the resale of my 2014 Synapse Carbon 105 5 but I bought the bike I wanted and it was so worth it.

I finally understand what people mean when they say a bike feels "twitchy." Steering feel definitely feels different than the synapse.
