The New and Improved HotRNot Thread

At first, I didn't like the orange, but as I saw all of the additional little orange accents, it grew on me! I think that the cages are a little funky, and there's only so much you can do about the head tube as a tall guy, but you could definitely stand to clean up the cabling, huh? Not sure if that's intentional, but yikes.

I'm either going Ultegra or SRAM Force. I just havent decided yet.
It's not intentional, it's the stock components.

Didn't properly align my valve stems or remove accessories (my bad) but thought I'd post an updated pic with my new Zipp SL-70 bar. The old vuka sprint was getting sketchy due to the deep scoring in the clamp area caused by my garmin mount. The prospect of it snapping while I'm riding was too scary to risk it. The SL-70 seems a lot stiffer but has more room in the clamp area for mounts.

A lot of logos and the valve extenders seem too long.
Still... a nice bike.

Giant defy is definitely hot for my taste. Makes me a little green with envy. We have a giant dealer about 3 miles from my house but he never keeps higher end bikes in stock. Aluminum with 105 is about as high end as he gets because he's a small indie shop and doesn't need the overhead. I can't drop 3-4k on a bike I've never ride so that leaves me with Fuji, trek, specialized, and cannondale to choose from around here.

Thanks. It's an older model from 2010. I've since made some upgrades such as 105 to ultegra, somewhat better wheels and the drop bar. I love the bike as it fits me great. On my ride today I nailed a pothole I didn't see in time. Fortunately nothing asploded.

He also sells Colnagos. My "I'd rather have a C60" hasn't gotten me a ride on one of those yet tho.

I was told $6200 for full Dura Ace, add $1500 for Di2. It seemed reasonable to me. I'd say it was easily a pound lighter than my current bike...that'd be helpful if I actually knew what my bike weighed, haha. I paid nearly that (after taxes) for my Ultegra Di2 Cannondale EVO two years ago.

That propel is absolutely ridiculous. But at my current (and probably future) ability and stamina with a destroyed L5, 2 collapsed discs, and no carteledge in my right knee, 18 mph is the absolute best I can probably every hope for as an average and that propel would be wasted on me. I'll stick to my midrange bikes that weigh 15-16 lbs and just enjoy them.
It still makes me drool though.

While I do love this bike, there are just WAY too many logos. Debadge the wheels and it would be far closer to Hot. There's a LOT going on here; even the saddle is plastered with a logo... smh. However, the bike is pretty good looking but way too busy to get a Hot out of me. As is, it's a Not, but I prefer understated than in your face...

What happened to this thread? It went stagnant... Is everybody back at the older and less improved version?
