Here's another C'dale for you all to pick at:
http://i739.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps9c89332d.jpg Yes, it's a large frame. Esthetically handicapped right off the bat. |
Got new [old] wheels for my new [old] bike.

The paint job on that Evo has me confused - I'm not sure if I like it a lot or if I want to burn it with fire. I like the bike in terms of set-up, proportions, build, etc, though. I think that completely getting rid of the wheel decals would help quite a bit.

I don't really understand this complaint...plenty of bikes in the pro peloton today have gumwall tires.

http://cdn.velonews.competitor.com/f...31-660x440.jpg This is a Not for me. http://cdn.velonews.competitor.com/f...19-660x440.jpg Actually love this frame and bike setup, but these look like white walls to me not gum walls? http://cdn.media.cyclingnews.com/201..._large_670.jpg |
The Evo is very hot. A black saddle would put it over the top

Thanks for the comments on the Calfee, everyone! I love it and not just the way it looks, but the way it rides as well.
As for the gumwalls - The tires are Vittoria Corsa SC cotton tubulars which are Vittoria's improved Corsa CX and only come in gumwall as far as I'm aware. Function over form in this case as the EC90's are my race specific wheelset. I run EA90 SLX tubeless for training with all black rubber. http://media.kdavidjames.com/photos/...slx_lowres.jpg [Click for High-res] As for the Easton cockpit, well, it's what came with the bike and while it may not look the best to some, it's great quality, I like it, and besides - for $5, I can't complain one bit. Holy s**t - you win! Love the bike!
