Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am stupidly contributing more stupidity to this stupid thread to make it even stupider and Gus90's reasonableness and good humor is ruining my efforts. Knock it off Gus and get serious.

Thanks; it's PRO "carbon fiber" tape that they don't make anymore (boo) and those wine corks are from something I drank.

It's pretty hot though.

Maybe buying the bike put them in poverty?

This bicycle needs Dura-Ace and either Zipp 303 or Enve 3.4 to get out of poverty; it's also a CAAD10 so I probably need a decent frame as well. I'm also still trying to decide if I want to switch to Fizik bars/stem/post, I think the PRO stuff is gaudy.

Thanks.

It's set up in road mode right now, hence the fat slicks and 140mm stem. I actually have a pair of ancient Lake CX shoes that are basically MTB shoes that take a 3 bolt cleat, so I've been riding on these pedals in all conditions.

Nice bike but it is kind of busy and I don't see a theme to it.
