Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This isn't really a criticism of your bike, but just a question in general. Don't people like colored bartape anymore? I'm thinking of changing mine from black to green or some other color just to break up the hood - bar - stem area from being all black. When all those are all black, it just looks weird to me.
Black tape stays black.

Always have side projects & bikes. This BMC SR02 is the latest. Going to change the bar tape and saddle. Not sure about the seatpost yet. And the Vuelta Corsa wheels they shipped were the wrong ones..

Bikes: Have two wheels

Bad picture - cut off the wheels. Not staged right. Dirty bar tape. Try again.

I will try to re-stage the picture, but the bar tape will remain dirty until it's changed.

BMC's in general lean toward hot. Don't like how the red cages don't match the frame red, though. Yah, I'm nitpicking. Maybe I'll like it more if you pay more attention to the rules.

Okay...I updated my Warbird a bit...I'm loving my new crabon bars...soaks up a lot of chop...

Chain ain't on the big ring...so sue me...I was doing some...er'...technical stuff today!:

I need to fine tune the bar rotation, and I think I'm going to move the hoods down a hashmark...I'll cut the tube next week.

(iphone pics...damn thing pisses me off...)

Only two nitpicks I have is I really don't like the cables, too distracting. And the stack above the stem. Yes it's not staged great but whatever. I'd give it a hot if it wasn't for the cables.

If you have to apologize for something about your bike, then it isn't ready for the New and Improved HotRNot Thread.

Just sayin'.

BMC - Not. You'll have to do A LOT of work to make that thing hot.

Salsa - Wot. Those bars on that frame? What is the world coming to.... Flip and slam, cut excess steerer, change brake housing, and change the crank. Then it'll be pretty hot actually. Them HED rims without brake tracks look nice.

WOT???? lmao.... Huge difference in the amount of chop coming up through the fork with those bars...the dampening is amazing compared to the aluminum I had...No way am I changing the crank, it's a Sugino ox901d , 74 & 110 bcd nested together, very stiff, low-q and lots of chainring options...and my housing, shifts like buttah...I will chop the steerer but I'm not flipping and slamming a thing.
