Asbestos siding is great. That stuff is bombproof - as long as you don't have to work on it, it's great stuff!
White bar tape is dirty and what's up with the green finishing tape?? That don't fly on here, sorry. The sad part of this story is that your frame is hot! I'd change the bars and bar tape (and finishing tape) and this bike could definitely be hot! But as is, NOT.

OK, OK...I think we can work with this. The Quest for Absolute Hotness must continue. At least we're down to some easy-to-replace and superficial adjustments. The green electrical tape is already gone btw. I will replace the bar tape with black (unless anyone has any suggestions for a color that will go with the rest of the bicycle - the little accent stripes are pastel yellow, green and lavender). I might hang on to the fugly Ergo Bars until I can find a suitable replacement in a 46 - 48 cm width (Noodle Bar maybe?) I agree they're ugly but they've got nice flat ramps and they're wide enough for me. The saddle might take a while but I'm open to a change there. I was thinking a vintage Selle Italia Flite Ti in lieu of the B17. Thoughts?

Also, maybe check out the Selle Anatomica X. I've read and heard great things about it and it has that classic look...

Dude, that bike is exactly how it came from my LBS outside of the wheels and handlebar. Stock stem height and all. This was my first actual season of dedicated road cycling, put in 2100 miles in Missouri on my old base Allez. Moving to PHX in a week and looking forward to letting that increase at a rapid pace, rather than dwindle like the winter here provides.
I am really, really sorry I **** on your thread with my cheap, stock, high Secteur wanna-be. Hopefully you can still fall asleep tonight. I know I will.

2. If you have 2100 miles under your belt why not set up this as you did your old allez when you got the new one? (which hopefully is a smartweld e5)
3. If PHX can't HYTFU then nothing can \/

4. Don't post in a thread where others tell you how they like your bike.
4.1. More importantly you put up the picture. You asked it. Don't put up a "half done" picture and get defensive about the negative remarks. For all we know that is the finished product
4.2. Stop w/the butt hurt. Want to show off your bike w/o the criticism? Post it in the "what road bike do you have" thread

5. Don't take this thread too seriously....Don't go and slam your stem just to make the internet happy and then come out with a bike you have to sell because it hurts your back. That would be a shame and I would actually laugh at you.
6. Should have gone with the caad10.....joking. Enjoy your bike

Because nobody can buy a Cervelo suited with Sram components off a sales room floor?
Not trying to come across like a jerk here, but just to save you some embarrassment in a face to face conversation with someone else. I wouldn't call your bike "custom". A Custom bike means the frame has been custom fit to you by geometry or has some sort of aftermarket paint. What you have is a mass produced frame, with components that half the world uses, which makes it a production bike with different wheels. You may have personalized it with purchasing items such as wheels I guess, but neither the frame or components are considered custom or even one of a kind. Even if your wheels are hand built, that does not make your bike custom. It means your bike has "upgrades".
My bike doesn't have one stock bolt or part that it came with. My bike is fairly one of a kind and different from most other cannondale supersixes, but is still considered a production bike, not custom.
Custom = a bike built with specific measurements which contains special geometry or custom paint.
Production = Any bike that is mass produced and come with stock sizing and paint scheme.

I put a garmin on my bike so now it's custom, right?
And cervelo guy, your bike is as custom as the sky is green. Call Parlee and have them make you a frame then come back to us.
