Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

During a recording session last spring, Mrs. rjones28 was playing gongue (essentially a large cow bell). At one point it was decided that she needed to play louder.

It's ironic that the "just enjoying the ride" crowd seems to have so much bile.

...pretty hairy fire just up the hill East of here. One crew apparently got burned over, which would be a pants crapper for certain.

He was 65, and had been in and out of the hospital while battling advanced prostate cancer the last couple of years. Thankfully his soul is at peace now.

I suppose I have been prepared for this day since finding out about his cancer 2 years ago. But still, he was my closest brother and in many ways my best friend, constant companions as we grew up together.

There was NOTHING he loved to do more than fishing. I trust that’s what he’s doing right now in the big sea in the sky.

That's my brother Jerry on the left, doing what he loves the best.
Sorry to hear it, @BillyD. I bet he is fishing right now.

My dad used to look out the kitchen window every night before bedtime trying to see the International Space Station. I like to think he still does it but now he has a much better and closer view.

Arrggghh... Billy, so sorry to hear about this.

I said something similar when Pcad's dad died. It's the memories that make a person live on. You obviously have some brilliant ones of your brother.
