Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My last appt was a Bichon Frise with seizures. The owner brought in a video of the dog having a generalized tonic-clinic seizure. But she googled it and decided it wasn't seizures, it was tremors. Then she further googled and decided the dog had Little White Shaker syndrome which is an immune-mediated encephalitis of the cerebellum. So she convinced her vet to stop the anticonvulsant and put the dog on pred. Lo and behold, the dog then had two seizures.

So in my appointment, I'm calling the seizures seizures and she's correcting me to call them tremors. Which they're not. Ironically the dog is an encephalitis suspect, just a different disease than this Shaker Syndrome. Google is such a time wasted for me.

At least the lady is listening to me though & doing all the right tests, this form of encephalitis can be fatal in dogs.

...if it was a big tree, there's gonna be some future subsidence in the area as the roots you could not get with the stump grinder decay.

Fifty miles.

BTW, which is better:

a. Fifty miles.
b. 50 Miles.
c. 50 miles.

my answer: all are awesome, but none look quite right. Maybe it's the period?

Why put a period at the end of an incomplete sentence?

...you can use elipses, as in "...50 miles", but you have to credit me. If you do it often, we'll need to work out a compensation package.

It's a statement. I still think it may deserve a period. Maybe not an Oxford period, but a dot nonetheless.

I have a water bottle from my home town's LBS that closed down a year ago this month. It's one of those fancy eco-friendly biodegradable bottles. All the printing on it has disappeared (I'm assuming it biodegraded). Kind of makes me sad.
