Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

...I know there is a lot of unfounded and unwarranted criticism of New York City in the world, but I do have to say at this point that the thread about the courageous crime fighter who took on the Craigslist bike thief and his doorman, coming so soon upon the heels of the thread that made Jesus weep, indicates a troubling trend.

On BF selling a much beloved caad for a mere $500 is a crime regardless of whether the guy actually owned it (assuming the guy actually existed).

Rhoda was a spinoff from "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," an iconic show from the early 70's.

Another obscure fact. We used to race against Don Harper, who was from Washington or Oregon, and had sponsorship from one of the big lumber yards.

... I do not get the Cannondale thing. I recycled one of them yesterday that had been donated, stripped beyond all hope of economical rebuilding.
