Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wait a minute. Does that mean the exercise bike is a 'bent?

Turns out you don't need quite the range of motion I thought you did to turn a bicycle crank over. I'm only at 95-100º and I'm already starting to do it.
If it turns out to be a problem later, consider shorter cranks. This has worked wonders for a friend with knee problems.

Not going to ever go to a concert by that group. Off the list.

What music career? We play in little cheesy bars for like $100-$200 split three ways. But at least we're not paying to pursue our hobby like you amateur bicycle race imbeciles.

I won't need shorter crank arms, compact cranks, a triple, a recumbent or any of that godawful fredly bull****.

But I might need a 26 or even maybe a 28 in the back at some point. As I get older and fatter the hills are getting steeper.

I'm going to get a trike simply to hit the breweries up so I don't fall over after the third one.

Recumbents are pretty hard (for me) to keep upright. I never could get up the nerve to pick up my second foot off the ground to get the thing started. I was sure I was going to topple.

You drink three 64 ounce beers and stay upright on your bike.

I thought your taint was broken not your knee? I've got to do a better job keeping up.

Glad you're back posting for our entertainment.

Hahahaha percoset...

I was mangled in May, spent 5 days in a hospital, 4.5 of them hooked to a dilaudid drip and then stepped down to percoset upon release. God I hate opiates. I know exactly how you feel. I stopped taking them 3 days out of hospital and just dealt with the pain/discomfort and ate tylenol like they were candy corn.

Stop worrying about knees and riding. You'll never make 100,000 posts unless you get serious
