never go small cog
I'm old here and I know if you go small cog you could cough your lungs out of your (you're) mouth.
How can I avoid this or it normal?

I hate small cogs. I need a 13-24 9 speed
Actually as old as I am, I'd probably be better off with 14-26

The problem for me is that no one seems to make a 10sp cassette with anything like a 13 or 14 for the small cog. I don't have the problem the OP talked about but I don't really use my 12 all that often.

Personally i never go small frog. I always try and use the largest frog available.
And don't get me started about triple buttered vs double buttered frame tubes.

IRD has 13 tooth starting cog cassettes. Miche and Marchisio loose cogs can be assembled almost (18 is the largest first position cog) anyway you want.
