Why not save money and just grind down the speeds from a cassette? File them down just enough to slip them on tightly and loctite that sucker. No need for a lockring.

Go to your local home depot and buy a power drill. Insert threadless nail into chainring, connect to BB opening, and drill it secure. Also use locktite just to be safe.

aggresive and tight? sounds like a cinelli mash to me. by tight, i hope you mean toe overlap. the slanting toptube of the mash should give you an aggressive (but twitchy) ride.

i'm assuming you're getting that 170mm crank WITH a chainring....
