I got the comp and when set on ProPedal, it's stiff enough to eliminate bob but soft enough to absorb. If cushy is needed, jut flip the switch the other way to full open.

I'm not planting IEDs on the trail or anything. Several years ago we'd try Garmins while hiking and couldn't get much in the way of satellite reception and therefore no accuracy whatsoever.
