Dunno 'bout frame size? I'm 6'3" and my frame is 55.5 cm. Make sure you can stand over the top tube with at least an inch between it and the ole family jewels!

Just rode my first ride on my Giant FCR4. 11.23 miles with hills and wind, 11.3 mph average. Usually at speeds up to 14-16 mph. Not bad or a disabled old fart, huh?

Actually, I believe it to be a strenghth factor. A smaller width rim would be weaker with a larger hole in it. Less metal area to spread out the stress from the hole. My Giant FCR4 has 700-28 tires...
