You can't replace the spring on the ATACS. I'm still riding the pedal, just on the other side, which will suffice until I find a better set or switch back...

I'm not sure about the 03, but the 05 and up models have very solid frames. RM has a pretty good reputation, I doubt you'll run into any problems assuming the frame is sound.
