I was never a pounder of ramen, even when young and living in the first world. I did, however, pound Kraft mac and cheese.

It was dry until 4 today, and I got a short ride it. It felt great!
Having lived in the rainforest, this weather feels normal. It is decidedly NOT normal for northwest Yucatan. The first wave came in from the West (abnormal), and as it was finishing up, it came in from the East(normal).

I don't know if I mentioned it here.... Seems the tropical air mass should have moved south by now; it hasn't. When the cold air from the North hits it, rain ensues. Predicted to go on like this through December.

I've slid back into my Spring Cleaning, lifetime version. This afternoon, I emptied the cycling pegboard onto the general pegboard. They each have 4' x 4'. Started a 'get rid if it' pile. The cycling pegboard will move out to the woodshop. The two runs of 16" wide shelving will likely be combined into a single 32" unit, and lose half the stuff they currently contain.
When my folks moved into their apartment in the retirement home, Dad had a full, big basement chock full. It took days to empty it. Trying to live and learn.
Then there is the tool crib. I'd like to see that, and much of its contents, find new homes too.
All this to make room for the bikes.

Time to put my bike away after a grueling but awesome cycling season.

The ones in the octagonal packing? Yeah, they're good. I think that they're better than the ones that they've had the last couple years, but my memory could be on the fritz.

With a lot of QR bikes and one TA mountain bike, the TA seems unnecessary for road/gravel. It's a pain solving a problem that doesn't exist.

Yes, I rode this year. One day. Went ok once I remembered which was my preferred hand for working the downtime shifters. Almost ran off the path trying to shift with the wrong hand, good thing I wasn't in traffic. Riding a bike may be elementary, but it's the little accessory things that you forget.
Main problem is the neck strain, not very encouraging for sustained riding. Maybe next year.

Will the day come when the time-honored act of pulling the cord to signal a stop on the bus is replaced by an app?

I got a little 50cc scooter for short trips around town (and also fun) and now it messes me up to try to remember which hand works the front brake depending on whether I'm on the bike or a scooter.
Tempted to go euro-style and switch all my bicycle front brakes to the right hand but the weight of tradition (and inertia) have so far prevented me from action.

I only eat stroopwafels when they are given out on United flights. I think I can afford those calories. Now if I were still traveling on business, that might not be true.
