I grew up in FL and I do not miss the heat or humidity in that time frame. You can have all of it that you want!

Im thinking I will just let my LBS install it. I might just take the bike there tomorrow, they have to order the clamp to put the front derailer on anyways, and I would also rather then wrap my bars.

I also need them to take the old bottom bracket out and put the new one in. Makes sense to me just to have them do it. I did want to attempt to do it myself.

Maybe, I’ll install the rear derailer, the shifters, have them swap the BB, and then I’ll finish the rest. I dunno.


How hard is hooking the shifting cables up to the derailers, and actually getting them to function properly?

The instructions from Shimano are fairly complete, plus the "Free To Cycle" YouTube channel has several very good videos that cover it very well. The front is fiddlier than it needs to be, IMO, but it's not difficult.

Well, my 105 works after being disassembled and put back together. And, I ain’t no cxwrench.

I bet Velo Vol can do it. Just barely.
