Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I thought you were building your next FG wheelset anyhow.

I live right by there and will probably get a wheelset from them. How is yours holding up? I narrowed it down to Wabi or a set from velomine, and after looking at some reviews I'm going with Wabi even if they don't use sapims or DT spokes.
They're holding great. I have 2000 miles on them and I'm 195 lbs, but I do not do any bunny hops or drunken rides...
And they look classy.. on black-and-chrome Langster

Thanks. I'm pretty much sold on them at this point.

It was a real pita to get tires on and off my wabi wheels. Both the stock kendas and new conti gp4000s. Had to result to using the mavic tool.

Its probably the tire's fault. Continentals are bad enough, but folding conti's? yeah....

Yeah that's probably tires more than rims.

And Kool Stop Bead Jack. I dealt with PITA mounting tires once and only once.
