I would say no more than 700-800. You can get a 2013 105 CAAD10 for about 1100...this guy is on crack trying to tell us that the CAAD9 is magical vs the proven CAAD10(made in china according to him).

nothing. can't prove it's even a Cdale. nothing in any of the pictures say Cannondale. move along unless you can get proof that it's a real CAAD9.

Shimano 105 group. God that was a horrible ebay ad, took forever to figure out wtf the guy was saying...

But if I did go for it, shipping would be about 100 ish. That's not a real deal killer, doesn't make for a real attractive of a final price relative to a caad10.
That never actually crossed my mind. But I did wonder why its been boxed up for 3-4 years....I can only imagine the "oh look what I found in my garage" moment if it is real.

The seller has sold a lot on eBay and his rating is at 100%. I don’t think he is a fraudulent seller. Just too expensive IMO.

Not too bad a price, maybe a little high but not excessive. I don't see any reason to think it is a false CAAD, these types of NOS deals show up from time to time on eBay. Enjoy the CAAD9, those are good, well engineered bicycles. Some pictures of the new ride would be a requirement here in the COC thread you realize don't you? Congratulations on scoring the new bicycle. Keep us posted on how things turn out, please.

Hold on a second, I didnt buy it. I would much rather cough up another 500$ for a brand new caad10 (which is going to happen) ![Big Grin](https://www.bikeforums.net/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Having it be brand new, the color I want, and my frame size was pretty hard to not offer 1000, but I would have to pay shipping from all the way across the country. Plus this gives me time to sell my other bikes (alloy synapse and a '79 Schwinn). I definitely wanted it though

I am looking to upgrade the Tektro calipers on my CAAD 10-5 to Shimano 105's. In looking online I find calipers with a 49mm drop but I don't know how that is measured. My current calipers measure about 49mm from the underside of the brake arm to the bottom of the flange where the pad mounts. Am I measuring in the correct place and do I need 49mm calipers? Thanks.

Ok so maybe you guys can help me with a future decision... I currently own a Scott Speedster 40. Sometime in he next year I'd like to pull the trigger on a new bike. I think the Scott is plenty comfortable, but am wondering how the CAAD 10 is compared to say a 2200-2300 cf bike (from a comfort perspective). I'm never going to race and do about 100-150 miles a week with a usual long weekend ride mileage in the 50-75 range. I like the CAAD10 but am afraid I'll regret not getting a cf bike.

I have some 5700 brakes I just took off my CAAD10, but don't see any unique numbers that indicate size. Figure out how it's measured and I'll look at it for you.
I should also note that I just replaced these with 6700 calipers and the threaded fitting/nut that goes into the fork didn't fit properly (shank was too long) and I had to use the old threaded fitting.

Brake caliper reach for road bikes has been pretty much standard for a long time. From the bike sage Sheldon Brown:
Currently, "short-reach" calipers usually offer a range of 39-49 mm. This has become the de-facto standard for "road" calipers, and can now be considered "normal", though it is also correct to call it "short."

Here's one:
Ok is it just me are my newly built CAAD10 ride better that my 2012Supersix? how could this be? i am just puzzled right now. both bike are equip with hollowgram cranks 53/39 & 11/23cassette use all the wheels i have for both bikes, both bike set up to my retul fit with the same spec both been 58cm frame. ride the supersiX 30mi on saturday & 40mi today on the CAAD10. The CAAD just feels faster and at the same time comfy to me. I am just trying to figure how in the world did Cannondale get an aluminum bike to ride so well. I keep saying to myself while riding the CAAD thats this cant be aluminum. The only difference is that the CAAD is DI2 equip. How did they get aluminum to ride so well?

Got my CAAD10-2(Force) 2013 setup to race. No way I am racing my di2 bike, that thing is pure sexy. Pic to follow after I swap the brake pads tonight.

I know there's nothing but love ITT, I guess my major question revolved around the CAAD10 vs lower end carbon with respect to road buzz and smoothness- wondered if someone who has owned both could compare. Ex. Madone or F5 or CR1 vs the CAAD10

Thought I'd share Elia Viviani's track CAAD10 here, which I came across a few days ago

Not a big fan of Cannondale's green theme in general, but this bike looks classy

2. I just rode my new CAAD10 on one of my weekly routes featuring rough roads and I'm super impressed with this frame. I'm glad I rode that POS frame for so long so I appreciate the CAAD10 or I'd never know what I was missing. I've pedaled my Mom's Supersix (a little small, lol) and it's just a tiny bit smoother over cracks in the road but it feels like more BB stiffness is given up. Now, my father's Synapse HM, that thing is god. That will be my next bicycle frame, when I turn 40 in 7 years if not sooner. That thing is soooooooooo smooth and puts down power like my CAAD10.

Yea black is my favorite color, and this is the only color i really like for 2014. I love the response and feed back i get from the road when ridding this beast of a bike. Fast fast as well and at the same time comfy.

I was temped to pay $300 more and get a silver/black 2013 105 complete bike, but I bought this color frame to be "different", suddenly everyone has one, lol.
