Vain, But Lacking Talent
I wouldn't even know where to go to buy rock salt in North Texas. Not sure Lowes or Home Depot would even stock it here.

Indeed they are.
I went with a set of 40cm Easton E100's on the Focus, and am glad I did. Getting a screaming deal on those was a plus, and I figured the extra 2cm clearance in crits, was also a bonus. I can't tell the difference.

Remember that some measure center-center, inside-inside, and outside-outside. And that's before accounting for the curve possibly pointing in slightly, or the drops flaring out, and the decision of where to measure.
It's like how Cervelo and Quintana Roo tri bikes have the same set of stacks and reaches, but QR wants to have the size named after an actual tube somewhere on the bike, so a 54 QR fits like a 56 Cervelo. It all kinda means nothing.

Bad day at work.
Someone just told me he can't/won't contribute a book chapter that was due in July. Now I will probably have to write it myself under time pressure.
I also seem to have gotten myself into a fight with very put-upon female colleague over an office space for employees. She is the last person whose toes I want to step on and this the last thing I want to beef over, but here we are and my guy is going to be very unhappy if, or, rather, when, I back down. The big boss, who can settle this with a wave of his hand is in India or the UAE or someplace.
I am going to go lift weights for lunch.

I had low cadence intervals on the trainer this morning. I did not, however, do the recommended ~FTP @50rpm. My knees say, "**** that noise," so I kept it above 70. It still strained the muscles more than usual, so I'm content with that. Maybe I'll be able to comfortably go lower in the future, but I'm not hurting myself in the now.

Started squats on Monday and immediately put on a pound from the inflammation. Didn't hold onto it, though.

When I bought my first set of FSA bars, they had a 2cm flair. So, my 42cm bar (measured at the drops) is 40cm at the hoods. I like that width better, even though (officially) I should be using a 42cm bar.

Is making ice cream still a thing? That's primarily where I saw it used.

Scored a Sram red compact crank with rings today for half what I have into the quark crank. Lighter, cheaper, mmmmmm..... just need to sell off the quark ones now.
I've been doing some of the GCN workout videos on you tube. Friken hurty. Suddenly I cant spin past 110 rpm without bouncing all over the place. Cant figure it out. And it's a real female dog to get and hold 120. Something isn't right with my fit or ?.....
