Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

they look like late rev-x wheels. if they are, and have no damage, they will be just fine.

the early ones were susceptible to failure. the late wheels were fine. (speaking from someone that has ridden both early and late sets) we still have a late set in the basement. i wouldnt hesitate to ride them.

from the research i gathered, they seem to be the new rev-x's with the redesigned 3-piece aluminum body hub. the previous owner had used them for commuting.. and he works at a reputable bike shop around here, so I'm not too worried about the wheels either. regardless, i've already picked up another set of wheels to commute on, and a new frame to swap parts onto!

I have them on all of my bikes. position wise, i feel like it puts me in a more powerful position on the bike. also, it eliminated some ITB pain I was having

Sheesh, ncrain1, that's probably the best dollar-to-weight-to-feature ratio you'll see around here. Cool.

My new TT-bike, on top of "De Muur":

Next stop are some nice TT wheels, but first I've gotta prove I'm worthy of them.
Maybe for my birthday next year

Could really use some input from the group. Apologize if posting this in the wrong place.

My brother-in-law is willing to part with his Seven Alaris Titanium (built end of 2003). It was custom built for him and we are almost identical in size (height, weight, inseam..ok, he's better looking than I am . But he's asking me to set a fair price. Maybe someone out there has a better handle on this stuff and can give me a ballpark price. Here's the basic rundown:

Seven Alaris Titanium (Integrity 325 tubing)
Full Ultegra setup, including wheels
Immaculate condition; never raced; never crashed

I will have him send me a couple pictures if that'll help.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Wrong forum but I'd say no more than $1500.

Again, sorry if this is the wrong place for this post...couldn't seem to find a place for "what is it worth?" questions.

Thx!
